The hotel is easy to get to.
Arrival by public transport from Burgdorf station:
By bus: number 461 to ‘Burgdorf, Kronenplatz’; then walk 2 minutes along the 'Hohengasse' to the Hotel Stadthaus.
On foot: From Burgdorf train station about 15 minutes
On Bucherstrasse turn east towards Bahnhofstrasse, turn right onto Bahnhofstrasse, then turn left onto Lyssachstrasse, turn right again onto Friedeggstrasse, continue on Oberstadtweg, still continue on Staldenstrasse, and continue on Hohengasse. Then the Hotel Stadthaus is on the right.
By car: Highway A1 between Bern and Zurich exit 'Kirchberg/Burgdorf' follow the street direction Burgdorf on ‘Schachenstrasse’, straight on ‘Kirchbergstrasse’, continue straight on ‘Gothelfstrasse’, then turn right on ‘Metzgergasse’, turn right again on ‘Staldenstrasse’, then continue straight on for another 150 meters and you have arrived.
Parking: The Hotel Stadthaus has 8 free parking spaces, 4 spaces directly in front of the hotel and 4 spaces on the side of the hotel in front of the optician's shop (Wahli Optik). However, we cannot reserve or guarantee parking spaces. Thank you for your understanding.
If all of our parking spaces are occupied, there are two public car parks within walking distance (approx. 5 minutes' walk) (Oberstadtparking https://www.burgdorf.ch/de/verwaltung/dienstleistungen/detail/detail.php?i=164 and Parking Museum Franz Gertsch http://www.museum-franzgertsch.ch/de/anfahrt/).
Otherwise there would be various paid parking spaces in the old town.
For the Oberstadtparking guests can get a discounted ticket from us at reception.
In order to receive a discounted ticket from us, please make sure that if you have installed a parking pay, you have deactivated it before entering.
Our reception is open Monday – Saturday, 7 am until 9 pm. Please let us know if you are arriving outside these hours.
On Sundays we are only present at limited times. Please let us know your arrival time in any case.
